Resonia Limited has secured the Kurnool IV Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Power Transmission Limited project in Telangana from the Ministry of Power. The interstate transmission system project, being developed under the Kurnool REZ, aims to strengthen transmission connectivity between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and support the integration of renewable energy into the grid.
The project, spanning around 120 km, is expected to facilitate the evacuation of nearly 3 GW of renewable energy under Kurnool IV REZ Phase II. The scope of work includes the construction of a 765/400 kV Doma substation and the augmentation of the existing Kurnool-IV pooling station.
Additionally, it includes the line-in line-out of the Kurnool-IV-Bidar 765 kV double-circuit transmission line at Doma and the development of two 400 kV double-circuit transmission lines connecting the Doma substation with the existing Shadnagar and Kethiredipally substations of Transmission Corporation of Telangana Limited.
