SJVN Green floats bids for solar modules for projects in Punjab

SJVN Green Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN Limited has issued a request for proposals to produce and supply 140.4 MWp of solar modules for the Pojewal and Rurki Chandpur solar power plants in Nawashahar, Punjab. According to the tender guidelines, the modules must be delivered within four months of the work order being received. Additionally, bidders must submit an earnest money deposit equivalent to the quoted module capacity.

The bidder will be assigned a minimum capacity of 23.4 MWp and multiples of 23.4 MWp. A single bidder will be allocated a maximum of 140.4 MWp. The bidders must have built and supplied at least 30 MWp of modules in the previous seven years, with at least one supply order for a project of at least 10 MW. The modules must be purchased only from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufactures.The deadline for proposal submissions is June 13, 2023.

In April 2023, SJVN Green Energy floated bids for the balance of system (BoS) package for a 100 MW (AC) grid-connected solar facility in Gujarat’s Patan district. As per the tender guidelines, the prospective contractor’s scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and three years of comprehensive operation and maintenance of the solar plant, excluding the supply of photovoltaic modules.

Also, in March 2023, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited awarded SJVN Green Energy Limited with a Letter of Award for a 200 MW solar power project to be developed anywhere in Maharashtra. The project is expected to be completed in 18 months, beginning with the signing of the power purchase agreement with MSEDCL. It was stated that the tentative cost of construction and development of this project would be around Rs 10 billion.
