Waaree Energies has broken ground on its integrated solar ingot and wafer manufacturing facility in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The facility represents an investment of around Rs 62 billion and will include a capacity of 10 GW each for solar ingots and wafers.

The facility will span 300 acres and, once operational, is expected to generate over 8,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities. It will also support regional economic development, skill creation, and industrial growth in Maharashtra.

Earlier in February 2026, Waaree Energy Storage Solution Limited, a subsidiary of Waaree Energies Limited, announced plans to establish a 16 GWh lithium-ion battery gigafactory.
