Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) has issued a request for proposals (RfPs) for commissioning 38 cold storage units. The project will be set up anywhere in Odisha. Each cold storage unit powered by solar energy should possess a storage capacity of approximately 10 metric tonnes.
The developer will be responsible to look after operations and maintenance for a period of five years. The winning bidder is required to submit performance guarantee equaling 10 per cent of the total cost of project. The bid submission deadline is December 20, 2023.
The modules employed must have a wattage of 300 Wp or greater. The cold storage units need to come with a warranty of five-years. The total number of projects can be expanded to 100 units, and the quoted price will remain applicable for a duration of one year. To be eligible, bidders must be experienced in delivering a minimum of ten solar cold storage systems, of any capacity, to government entities, public sector undertakings, or registered co-operative societies within the past five years.
Recently, in November 2023, OREDA issued RfPs for distributed renewable energy assets and rooftop solar projects, including ongrid (with or without storage) and offgrid. The tender had been issued for different capacities, to be set up across Odisha on the basis of rate contract.
