Servotech Power Systems has secured an order for 2,649 AC electric vehicle (EV) chargers from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). The scope of work includes production, supply, installation of EV chargers across the country. These chargers will be integrated into petrol pumps in prominent Indian cities as part of the BPCL E-drive project, contributing significantly to the widespread adoption of EV charging solutions.
For this project, the selection of EV chargers comprises options with power capacities of 3 kW and 7 kW. The AC chargers are currently in the manufacturing and production phase, and the distribution is scheduled to commence from December 15, 2023, with the entire supply process is expected to be finalised within three months.
In November 2022, BPCL awarded Servotech Power Systems Limited with a project to supply and install 800 units of DC fast EV chargers at various locations across the country. In September 2022, Servotech Power Systems won a 1.8 MW offgrid solar project worth Rs 300 million from the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency.
