Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) and the Indian government have issued three requests for proposals (RfP) for setting up 232 MW solar power projects across various sites in Telangana. Out of 232 MW, a 17 MW project will be on an overburdened coal mine dump site.
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work under the project includes designing, engineering, supplying, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the solar projects. The bidders are also required to look after operations and maintenance (O&M) for a period of ten years. The bidders must also submit Rs 10 million as an earnest money deposit. The bid submission deadline is September 29, 2023.
Of the three tenders, one tender is of 67.5 MW capacity which will be located in Mandamarri area, including a 220-kV evacuation. The developer will be awarded engineering, procurement, and construction and O&M contracts separately. Another tender of 134.5 MW capacity will be distributed across four SCCL’s sites which includes Kothagudem, Sri Rampur, STPP, and Ramgundam-3 areas with capacities, 32.5 MW, 27.5 MW, 37.5 MW, and 37 MW, respectively. The third tender of 30 MW capacity will operate at 33 kV, will be spread across three sites namely Yellandu, Bhupalapalli, and Ramgundam-1 areas with capacities, 15 MW, 10 MW, and 5 MW, respectively.
In March 2022, SCCL issues RfP to seek a consultancy agency to make policy and infrastructure preliminary survey reports for setting up ground-mounted projects in Karnataka, Gujarat, and Rajasthan.
