NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has invited bids for the supply and installation of wind turbine generators (WTGs) for an interstate transmission system -connected wind project with a nominal capacity of 600 MW. The project is located in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, and will comprise 200 WTGs. The deadline for bid submission is September 15, 2026.
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, installation, testing and commissioning of Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM)-listed WTGs with a rating of 3 MW or above, along with control panels, supervisory control and data acquisition and associated control systems and software. It also covers the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of unit substations (USS) for each WTG and the electrical works required for grid integration, as well as associated civil works including tower and USS foundations and control cabins, where required. Additionally, the scope includes 10 years of comprehensive operation and maintenance from project commissioning, including spare parts, consumables, repairs and replacement of defective equipment, along with providing inputs for statutory approvals and clearances related to power evacuation and grid connectivity and supplying mandatory spares.
According to the financial criteria, the bidders are required to have an average annual turnover of at least Rs 10.24 million times the quoted capacity in MW during the preceding three financial years, subject to the specified maximum capacity. The technical criteria require bidders to be manufacturers of an approved WTG model with a minimum rating of 3,000 kW, as included in the latest ALMM (Wind) issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy prior to the date of techno-commercial bid opening. Furthermore, the bidders are also required to submit a bid security of Rs 500 million.
