Suzlon secures 250 MW wind order from Torrent Group

Suzlon Energy Limited has secured a 250 MW wind energy order from Torrent Green Energy, a Torrent Group company. Under the latest contract, Suzlon will supply 76 S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs), each rated at 3.3 MW, along with grid integration and long-term operations and maintenance services. This order takes the cumulative partnership between both the companies to over 1.3 GW across Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.

In July 2026, Suzlon secured a 201.6 MW wind power order from Waaree Forever Energies Private Limited, the independent power producer arm of Waaree Group, for a project in Andhra Pradesh. The project will be executed under Suzlon’s development-cum-execution model and will involve the installation of 64 S144 WTGs, each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW.

Also in July 2026, Suzlon secured a 105 MW wind power order from Sunsure Energy for the deployment of its 5 MW S175 wind turbines in Bijapur, Karnataka. The project involves the supply, erection, commissioning, and maintenance of 21 WTGs. The S175 wind turbine features a 175-metre rotor and a 160-metre hybrid lattice tower and is designed to harness stronger and more stable wind regimes.
