Adani Solar, the Adani Group’s solar manufacturing and EPC subsidiary, has launched a retail distribution operation in India’s eastern and northeastern states, with KSL Cleantech Limited serving as the official channel partner. As per the company’s statement, the distribution of company’s solar panels has now reached more than 1,000 communities across the country.
State administrations in the eastern and northeastern parts of India have started to promote rooftop solar systems. Adani Solar is primarily targeting customers in the rooftop, utility-scale, residential, commercial and industrial, and solar pump segments in order to attain 130 MW in the rooftop segment in the two regions.
Earlier this month, as part of COP26, Adani Green Energy Limited, the solar power development arm, and Adani Transmission Limited, the power transmission and retail distribution company, announced their Energy Compact Goals, with a focus on Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG 7). The companies must ensure universal access to affordable, dependable, and contemporary energy services, as well as a significant increase in the global percentage of renewable energy.
