Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) has reached its RE100 target of achieving net zero emissions and sourcing 100 per cent renewable electricity for its direct operations globally. To achieve these targets and reduce its operational carbon footprint, the company entered into several renewable energy agreements including the signing of a virtual power purchase agreement for 22 MW of wind power from the Ponderosa wind farm in Oklahoma, which will cover more than 50 per cent of the company’s electricity footprint with renewable energy technologies.
