Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Limited (SSNNL) has proposed to develop a 100 MW canal-top solar power project on Narmada River in Gujarat. Currently, SSNNL has approached the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) for the grant of approval.
SSNNL has identified four locations in central Gujarat for development of the project. The projects will require an investment of Rs 1 billion. The installation is expected to cover nearly 40 kms of the canal.
