TotalEnergies and KKR have signed an agreement to add a 700 MW portfolio of renewable energy assets to their existing 50:50 joint venture (JV) in the US, which currently holds 1.4 GW of capacity. The portfolio includes three utility-scale solar projects located in Texas and Ohio, which are expected to begin commercial operations by the first quarter of 2027.
Furthermore, the electricity generated by these projects has already been sold to third parties or will be marketed by TotalEnergies. The portfolio has an enterprise value of $1.2 billion, and the transaction is expected to be completed in 2026. TotalEnergies will continue to operate the assets after the transaction is completed.
Earlier, in July 2026, TotalEnergies completed the divestment of its 170 MW distributed solar portfolio, comprising mainly rooftop installations across seven European countries (France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom and Luxembourg). The portfolio has been divested to Amarenco and AMPYR Distributed Energy.
