Sunsure Energy signs solar PPA with Evonith Steel

Sunsure Energy has signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Evonith Steel for a 30 MWp commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable energy project to supply power to Evonith Steel’s manufacturing operations in Wardha, Maharashtra. The supply is expected to commence in October, utilising capacity from Sunsure Energy’s operational 120 MWp solar facility in Dhule. Furthermore, the project is expected to offset around 34,700 tonnes of carbon emissions annually.

Earlier, in September 2026, Sunsure Energy signed a long-term PPA with Kajaria Ceramics to supply round-the-clock renewable power to its production facilities in Gailpur and Alwar, Rajasthan.

Earlier, in July 2026, Sunsure Energy secured debt financing of Rs 2.62 billion from FMO, the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank, and Axis Bank. The financing has been provided for Sunsure Energy’s 75 MWp open access solar project in Ilayangudi, Tamil Nadu.
