Suzlon secures 400 MW wind project order from Tata Power 

Suzlon Energy Limited has received a new engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) order from Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) for a 400 MW wind power project in the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. The project will involve the installation of 127 S144 wind turbine generators, each with a capacity of 3.15 MW. Suzlon will also handle land acquisition, turbine supply, balance of plant works, pooling substation, extra high voltage line, commissioning, and operations and maintenance services.

With this order, the total capacity of projects being developed by Suzlon and TPREL has crossed 1 GW across Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh. Suzlon’s orderbook in Andhra Pradesh has reached nearly 1 GW. The company currently has an installed wind energy base of 1.8 GW in the state, accounting for 28.4 per cent of its installed base in South India.

Earlier, in May 2026, Suzlon Energy Limited secured a wind turbine order of 195 MW from Sunsure Energy.  As per the order, Suzlon will install 65 S144 wind turbine generators, each with a capacity of 3.0 MW, for a project in the Bijapur district of Karnataka.
