SECI issues RfS for 1,000 MW RTC Thermal Mimic power

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a request for selection (RfS) for the supply of 1,000 MW round-the-clock thermal mimic (RTC-TM) power. The power will be supplied from the interstate transmission system (ISTS) connected renewable energy power projects in India under the SECI-RTC-TM-V scheme. The project will be developed under the build-own-operate model.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work covers the development of the ISTS-connected renewable energy projects with energy storage systems. It also includes the development of the transmission network up to the interconnection/ points for supplying power to SECI. The scope further encompasses land identification, installation, and ownership of the projects, along with obtaining connectivity and necessary approvals.

Furthermore, SECI will enter into a power purchase agreement with the successful bidders for a period of 25 years. The bidders are required to submit a document fee of Rs 50,000 and bid processing fees of Rs 20,000 per MW. The online bid submission deadline is May 04, 2026, and the offline bid submission deadline is May 06, 2026.

Earlier in February 2026, SECI floated a tender for the supply of 870 MWp of solar photovoltaic modules, which have to be manufactured using domestically produced cells.
