Vena Group has signed an MoU with Chungcheongnam-do and Taean-gun in South Korea to develop large-scale green energy projects in the province, with a particular focus on Taean-gun. Under the agreement, the company plans to invest approximately KRW 1 trillion by 2030 to develop utility-scale renewable projects, including offshore wind projects. The initiative also forms part of efforts to expand clean energy infrastructure in the region and strengthen the local renewable energy supply chain.
Furthermore, Chungcheongnam-do and Taean-gun will extend administrative support to facilitate the development of these projects. This includes assistance with permitting processes and regulatory clearances in accordance with applicable laws. Once operational, the projects are expected to generate more than 1.6 TWh of electricity annually. Additionally, the developments are expected to offset approximately 740,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions annually.
In December 2025, Vena Energy reached the financial close for Opus solar energy project in the Philippines. The financing involves participation from seven international financial institutions. The Opus solar energy project is a ground-mounted solar project located in Ilocos Norte with an installed capacity of 300 MWp.
