L&T secures construction order for 3 GW PSP

Larsen and Toubro’s (L&T) heavy civil infrastructure business vertical has secured an order from Torrent Energy Storage Solutions Private Limited for the construction of the 3,000 MW Saidongar-1 pumped storage project (PSP) in Raigad, Maharashtra. The PSP will comprise ten units of 300 MW each.

According to the order specifications, the scope of work includes the design and engineering of the project. It also covers the execution of all civil and hydro-mechanical works associated with it.

Earlier in August 2025, L&T’s renewables unit won Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited’s engineering, procurement, and construction contract to develop a grid-connected solar-plus-storage project in Bihar.

Furthermore, in July 2025, L&T incorporated Panipat Green Hydrogen Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary dedicated to green hydrogen.
