Powertrac Group has invested Rs 6 billion for the development of a 1,000 MWh per annum containerised battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing facility. The facility will focus on assembling of lithium-iron phosphate battery pack and in-house development of battery management system. It will also focus on the integration of containerised grid-scale BESS solutions ranging from 1 MWh to 5 MWh modular blocks.
Furthermore, the containerised systems will support solar plus storage hybrid energy projects for utility-scale, commercial, and industrial applications. The investment is a part of the company’s aim to achieve 1,000 MW of operational independent power producer projects by 2030.
