Treaty Oak begins construction on two solar projects in Louisiana

Treaty Oak Clean Energy has closed financing and begun construction on two solar projects in Louisiana, together adding 385 MW of renewable capacity. The projects include the Beekman solar project in Morehouse Parish and the Hollis Creek solar project in Sabine Parish. The electricity generated from both projects will be supplied to Meta Platforms through long-term offtake arrangements. Financing for Beekman was completed in November 2025, followed by Hollis Creek in December 2025. Both solar projects are scheduled to achieve commercial operations in the first half of 2027.

The Beekman project secured approximately $410 million in non-recourse senior secured credit facilities, comprising a construction-to-term loan, a tax credit bridge loan, and letter of credit facilities. The financing involved SMBC, ING Capital, Crédit Agricole CIB, MUFG, and National Australia Bank as coordinating lead arrangers. Construction activities include photovoltaic works by Blattner Energy, high-voltage works by Dashiell, module supply from First Solar, and tracker systems from Nextpower.

Similarly, the Hollis Creek project reached financial close with funding of around $399 million in non-recourse senior secured credit facilities, under a similar structure, with the same financial institutions as Beekman acting as the coordinating lead arrangers. Construction at Hollis Creek is being carried out by Primoris Renewable Energy for photovoltaic facilities and Beta Engineering for high-voltage infrastructure, with tracker technology supplied by Nextpower as well.
