Iberdrola France has reached an agreement to sell its portfolio in the country to Technique Solaire. The portfolio includes 118 MW of operational onshore wind projects, along with a development pipeline comprising 639 MW of planned onshore wind and solar projects.
The transaction will advance once the required information-consultation procedures with the relevant employee representative bodies are completed. Following the completion of the sale, Iberdrola France will continue its activities in the country through its offshore wind segment, notably through the 496 MW Saint Brieuc offshore windfarm.
Earlier this month, Iberdrola and the European Investment Bank signed a €500 million green loan for the development of the Windanker offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea. The project will have an offshore wind capacity of 315 MW, with the full commissioning of the project expected by the fourth quarter of 2026.
