BASF India and CleanMax join forces for wind-solar hybrid captive project

BASF India Limited has inked a share purchase agreement with Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Limited to procure clean energy from the hybrid solar and wind farm in Jamnagar, Gujarat, under the captive power generation mechanism. Under this agreement, the companies will develop a 12.21 MW wind–solar hybrid captive power project that will supply clean energy to BASF India’s manufacturing facilities at Dahej and Panoli.

The agreement also includes the expected procurement of 28,860 MWh of renewable power annually, including green attributes, under the group captive mechanism for the manufacturing facilities. The captive power project, developed under Clean Max Amalfi Private Limited, will comprise 6.6 MVA of wind capacity and 5.61 MWp of solar capacity. It is scheduled to become operational in 2026.

Earlier in July 2025, CleanMax and Toyota Tsusho India Private Limited entered a long-term partnership to jointly cater to the clean energy needs of Japanese corporations operating in India.
