Vikran Engineering Limited (VEL) has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire a 49 per cent stake in NOPL Solar Projects Private Limited for about $49 million. NOPL Solar Projects Private Limited is engaged in the development, operation, and maintenance of solar projects and is associated with a 969 MWac grid-connected project under Component C of the PM-KUSUM Scheme in Maharashtra.
In December 2025, Vikran Engineering Limited secured a large engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract from Onix Renewables for the development of a 600 MW (AC) solar power project across multiple locations in Maharashtra. The scope of work includes end-to-end execution covering design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of the project, with completion targeted within a 12-month period.
