LNK Energy secures financing for phase 1 of 6 GW solar manufacturing facility in Maharashtra

LNK Energy has secured financial closure for phase 1 of its 6 GW integrated solar manufacturing facility in Maharashtra through the State Bank of India. The project will set up integrated manufacturing operations for ingots, wafers, cells and modules.

The manufacturing facility is being developed over an area of more than 60 acres in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, with an investment of Rs 47 billion.  Moreover,  the company signed an MoU with the Government of Maharashtra to develop the solar manufacturing plant in August 2025, with the project construction commencing in May 2026. 

Earlier in November 2025, LNK Energy announced its launch as an integrated clean energy company with a planned investment of Rs 100 billion over the next five years to focus on advanced manufacturing, green fuels, and renewable energy generation.
