Treaty Oak and Meta ink PPAs for 385 MWac solar projects in US

Treaty Oak Clean Energy has entered into long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Meta for two utility-scale solar projects in Louisiana, with a combined capacity of 385 MWac. The two projects are the Beekman solar project in Morehouse Parish, which will supply 185 MWac of power, and the Hollis Creek solar project in Sabine Parish that will deliver 200 MWac.

Under the agreements, Meta will purchase the environmental attributes produced by these projects, and the generated electricity will be supplied to the local grid. Both projects are expected to commence commercial operations in the third quarter of 2027. Furthermore, together, they are expected to contribute over $100 million in combined state and local tax revenue during their operational lifetimes. The projects are also projected to create approximately 300 jobs during peak construction.

In October 2025,  Meta signed a PPA with ENGIE to offtake the entire output from the 600 MW Swenson Ranch solar project in Stonewall County, Texas, scheduled for commissioning in 2027. Under the agreement, Meta will utilise 100 per cent of the electricity generated to power its data centre operations across US.
