Enfinity Global closes equity deal for 486 MW BESS project in Italy

Enfinity Global has finalised an equity and development partnership with an unnamed European investor for the completion of a 486 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Italy. The project, located in the Emilia Romagna region, will have a total storage capacity of 1,944 MWh with a four-hour duration. Enfinity Global will continue overseeing the permitting process to ensure timely project execution and commissioning as per the agreement.

In September 2025, Enfinity Global achieved financial closure of €316 million for the construction of eight utility-scale solar projects in Italy, with a total capacity of 276 MW. The projects, located across Emilia Romagna, Basilicata, and Lazio, are scheduled to become fully operational by the end of 2026.

Enfinity Global, founded in 2019, is a US based renewable energy company. The company has a global portfolio of 36 GW of renewable energy and storage projects, including operational, under-construction, and development assets. Enfinity Global’s project pipeline in Italy comprises 2.6 GW of solar capacity and 5.3 GW of storage capacity, with 245 MW already operational and 564 MW under construction.
