TPREL and Suzlon join forces to co-develop 838 MW wind projects

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, has signed an agreement with Suzlon Group to co-develop 838 MW wind projects. As per the agreement, Suzlon will supply wind turbine generators with a total capacity of 838 MW.

It will deliver 266 of its S144 wind turbines, each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW, to be deployed across project sites in Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu. The projects are expected to be completed over the next few years.

Earlier in April 2025, Suzlon secured an engineering, procurement, and construction wind power order of 100.8 MW from Sunsure Energy.

Furthermore, in March, Suzlon secured a 204.75 MW wind energy order from Jindal Green Wind 1 Private Limited, a subsidiary of Jindal Renewables.
