SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) has floated an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) tender for setting up a 733 MW (AC) capacity consisting of 61 solar power systems in Maharashtra. The projects will be developed at multiple locations within 10 km of substations listed in Maharashtra. Furthermore, it will include a power evacuation system up to the interconnection point for the assigned capacity.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work entails the full transfer of ownership or sub-lease of land in favor of SGEL, along with the development of land, buildings, plant, and other EPC services. The scope also contains the operation and maintenance of the project for three years. Furthermore, the EPC contractor is required to develop the solar power systems, including identifying and arranging the required land. The last date for bid submission is September 19, 2025.

Earlier in August 2025, SGEL issued a tender inviting bids for the purchase/lease of land for a period of 28 years in the 765/400/220 kV Bikaner-IV Pooling Station area, Rajasthan.
