TP Solar, a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), has secured a contract with the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MSPGCL) to supply 300 MWp of solar modules certified under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. The contract is valued at approximately Rs 4.55 billion.
Under the agreement, TP Solar will deliver the modules to multiple locations across Maharashtra within the current year. The modules will be utilised for distributed solar projects under Maharashtra’s Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0. The award forms part of MSPGCL’s 750 MWp module tender, which was finalised through a competitive e-Reverse Auction process.
Earlier this month, TPREL signed an MoU with the Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) to promote rooftop solar adoption in Odisha under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, with TPREL managing power distribution through its four public-private partnership distribution companies: TPCODL, TPWODL, TPSODL, and TPNODL.
