TUSCO float bids for consultancy services for 600 MW of solar projects

TUSCO, a joint venture of THDC India and the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has called for bids to select an environmental and social impact assessment consultant for the development of 600 MW of solar power projects in Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi district. The project for these services is expected to cost Rs 5.12 million. According to the tender guidelines, the bidders must submit Rs 51,170 as an earnest money deposit. As a performance bank guarantee, the successful bidder must provide an amount equal to 3 per cent of the contract value.

The agreement will be in effect for four months. To participate in the bidding process, the consultant must have completed at least five years of environmental and social impact assessment for infrastructure projects, including renewable energy projects, for the government or private sector. At least three of the assessments listed above should be related to the development of solar power projects. Furthermore, in the last five years, at least three of the above-mentioned assessments should have included the resettlement action plan and livelihood restoration plan. The bid submission deadline is February 28, 2023.

In January 2023, THDC India Limited and the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency notified bids for a consultant for floating solar power projects on various dam reservoirs in Uttar Pradesh. The consultancy work will be awarded through domestic competitive bidding by TUSCO. The scope of work for the selected party includes preparing a pre-feasibility report and a detailed project report for the development of floating solar power projects on dam reservoirs.
