Reliance Infrastructure Limited has secured a letter of award (LoA) from NHPC for the development of an interstate transmission system connected solar power project integrated with a battery energy storage system (BESS). The solar project will have a capacity of 390 MW, while the BESS will have a capacity of 780 MWh. The project was secured at a tariff of Rs 3.13 per kWh.
Earlier in May 2025, Reliance Power Limited, through its subsidiary Reliance NU Energies, received LoA for a 350 MW solar project with 700 MWh BESS.
Furthermore, in May 2025, Reliance Power Limited, through its subsidiary Reliance Nu Suntech, entered into a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited for a 1.4 GW solar and battery storage project.
