Axis Energy proposes Rs 317.5 billion renewables investment in Odisha

Axis Energy has proposed an investment of Rs 317.5 billion in Odisha to develop large-scale renewable energy projects. The plan envisages a diversified portfolio of nearly 5 GW of clean energy capacity spanning wind, solar, agri-photovoltaic, hybrid projects, and battery energy storage systems.

The proposed investment is expected to generate more than 5,500 direct and indirect employment opportunities through a partnership with the state government. Furthermore, the company aims to strengthen Odisha’s renewable energy sector with this initiative.

Earlier in November 2025, Axis Energy and ABC Cleantech Private Limited inked a MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government through the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited investing Rs 1102.5 billion in renewable energy projects across the state.
