PNC Infratech Limited has secured a letter of award (LoA) from NHPC for the development of a 300 MW interstate transmission system (ISTS) connected solar power project with 150 MW/600 MWh energy storage systems (ESS). The project was secured in a tariff-based competitive bidding by quoting a tariff of Rs 3.13 per kWh
Furthermore, NHPC will ink a 25 year power purchase agreement (PPA) with PNC Infratech. Power supply from the project is expected to commence within 24 months of the PPA signing date.
Earlier in July 2025, NHPC announced results for its Tranche-XI auction to set up 1,200 MW of ISTS-connected solar power projects combined with 600 MW/2,400 MWh of ESS. The winners of the auction were Reliance Infrastructure, JBM Renewables, PNC Infratech, and SAEL Industries.
