Suzlon Energy and Integrum Energy have won a capacity of 50 MW each in Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited’s (BPCL) tender to develop 100 MW of wind power projects. These wind projects will meet the captive power needs of BPCL’s Mumbai Refinery and Bina Refinery in Madhya Pradesh.
The tender was floated in December 2023, and the selected developers are required to complete the projects within two years. Both companies will implement the projects on a lump-sum turnkey basis. They are mandated to use wind generators that are listed in the latest Revised List of Models and Manufacturers.
Additionally, the wind turbines must have a minimum rated capacity of 2,000 kW. Furthermore, Suzlon and Integrum will also be responsible for providing comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the wind farms for a duration of up to 10 years.
