NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has issued a tender for the supply and installation of 224 wind turbine generators (WTGs) for a 672 MW wind power project in Solapur, Maharashtra. Each turbine must have a capacity of 3 MW and be listed in the Revised List of Models & Manufacturers.
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to submit a bid security of Rs 500 million.The selected developers will be responsible for the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of the wind turbines. Additionally, they must establish guaranteed performance parameters, including control systems and data acquisition. The scope of work also includes the design and commissioning of unit substations and electrical infrastructure for grid integration. NTPC will provide land for the project. The deadline for bid submission is May 7, 2025.
According to the eligibility criteria, the bidders must be manufacturers of an approved WTG model with a minimum capacity of 3 MW. They must also have a minimum annual turnover of Rs 10.56 million per MW of quoted capacity over the past three financial years and must have maintained a positive net worth in the last financial year. Successful bidders will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the project for 10 years, including the supply of spare parts, consumables, and necessary repairs or replacements.
