Enernew, a wholly owned subsidiary of India’s leading wires and cables manufacturer, Sriram Cables has successfully launched Project Navodaya, a 50 MW Solar Power Park in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This project will supply solar power to captive consumers with large electricity consumption located anywhere in Rajasthan.
Navodaya Solar Park will facilitate in providing a ready to move-in infra for consumers with large power requirement. With the decrease in spaces and operational challenges that are faced in a rooftop solar project, Enernew has come up with innovative solutions to provide affordable and clean energy through this solar park.
Various activities are involved in setting up an Off-Site Solar Power Project, such as identifying potential location, acquiring the land, obtaining various statutory and non-statutory clearances, demarcation, boundary works, land works, transmission, setting up other infrastructure as well as the solar project. Enernew aims at providing end to end customised solutions for such large enterprises to provide low cost electricity.
The company intends to operationalise a capacity of 2,000 MW by FY 2030. Enernew has also planned to provide Round The Clock (RTC) power through integration of Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS) in this project.
Sriram Cables is a 45 year old group in the power and transmission sector and plans to bet big on renewables. The company intends to go public by launching an IPO in the upcoming financial year. The group has already crossed Rs. 10 billion in revenues in the previous financial year and plans to eye Rs. 20 billion by FY 2027.
