Servotech & CIMSME ink MoU to boost rooftop solar installations in India

Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd and the Chamber of Indian Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (CIMSME) have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate the adoption of solar energy across India. As part of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, their goal is to install 100,000 solar rooftop systems in residential properties by 2026. A major aspect of this initiative is the launch of a dedicated mobile application, developed collaboratively by CIMSME and Servotech. This user-friendly app streamlines the entire solar adoption process, guiding homeowners through roof inspections, documentation, installation, system monitoring, and subsidy applications.

For nationwide implementation, CIMSME will deploy a network of approximately 30,000 personnel, who will operate at the PIN code level to facilitate sales, offer on-ground support, and oversee installations. Servotech, which is already registered with 62 DISCOMs across India, will deliver end-to-end solar solutions, installing Solar Photovoltaic Generation Systems (SPGS) ranging from 2kW to 10kW to suit varying household energy requirements. Additionally, the company will provide ongoing maintenance services to ensure optimal system performance.

In December 2024, Servotech Renewable Power System Limited secured an order to install 1,094 grid-connected solar-powered agriculture pumps under the PM KUSUM Scheme’s Component C-1. The project, awarded by the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Authority (UPNEDA), is valued at approximately Rs 310 million.

In November 2024, Servotech Power secured a Rs 302 million order from the Uttarakhand New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA) for a 5.6 MW on-grid rooftop solar power project.
