Blueleaf Energy has partnered with Jakson Green to invest $400 million in developing 1,000 MW of solar projects in Rajasthan. The investment is structured through a combination of debt and equity and includes three solar projects.
These projects will integrate both inter-state and intra-state transmission systems and are backed by 25-year power purchase agreements secured with the Solar Energy Corporation of India, NHPC Limited, and Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. The projects are expected to be commissioned between 2025 and 2026 under a build-own-operate model. They are also expected to generate over 1,800 GWh of renewable energy annually and reduce over 22 million tonnes of carbon emissions.
In November 2024, Jakson Green, through its subsidiary Jakson Green Infinity Private Limited, shipped its first batch of 3.8 MW electrolysers, manufactured at its 300 MW facility in Greater Noida, for use in a green hydrogen refueling station for urban mobility in the National Capital Region, integrating imported electrolyser stacks with locally designed and manufactured Balance of Plant components.
