NVVN invites bids for 25.65 MW rooftop solar project in Delhi

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC, has issued a tender for a 25.65 MW grid-connected rooftop solar project to be set up in government buildings in Delhi and neighbouring states. The power plants will also be set up on buildings under the Delhi Police.

The bids must be submitted by September 9, 2024. They will be opened on September 10, 2024. An earnest money deposit of Rs 20 million and a tender fee of Rs 22,500 must be submitted by the bidders.

The tender has been issued for four different classifications: for capacity up to 50 kW, between 51 to 200 kW, between 201 to 1,000 kW and for capacity above 1,000 kW.

The responsibilities include design, engineering, testing, preliminary roof assessment, water arrangements, electricity, security, and determination of optimal capacity for setting up solar projects and solar photovoltaic systems plants. The winners of the bid are also expected to do the operations and maintenance (O&M) for the project for ten years.

In addition, the bidders should have an average annual turnover of Rs 41.4 million for capacity up to 50 kW, Rs 154.4 million for 51 kW to 200 kW, Rs 158.6 million for 201 kW to 1,000 kW, and Rs 158.2 million for greater than 1,000 kW in the last three years.

In June 2024, NTPC had issued tender for 1.2 GW solar projects. In July 2024, they issued another tender for a 960 MW wind project. In January 2024, NVVN had floated a tender for 10 MW solar project for defence PSUs.
