Sunsure Energy begins power supply to APL Apollo

Sunsure energy has begun power supply to APL Apollo in Uttar Pradesh. Annually, Sunsure will supply 10.5 million units of renewable energy to Apollo Pipes Limited and Apollo Metalex. The power will be supplied from Sunsure’s plant in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh. With this supply, fifty per cent of APL Apollo’s power demand will be met through renewable energy. This will offset 7,500 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually.

APL Apollo has a target of achieving 47 per cent renewable energy consumption by 2024-25. The company has also partnered with the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) to provide renewable energy to all their manufacturing plants by 2025 and reduce 25 per cent of scope 1 and 2 emissions per metric tonne on steel produced by 2030.

Sunsure Energy is a renewable energy solution provider to various industries. The company has 500 MW of assets under operation, 2.5 GW of renewable energy capacity under construction and an operational capacity of 120 MW in Uttar Pradesh.
