ReNew inks 2.2 GW PPAs to expand its clean energy portfolio

ReNew has expanded its completely contracted renewable energy portfolio with the announcement of the signing of five power purchase agreements (PPAs) totaling around 2.2 GW of renewable energy capacity.

Among the five PPAs, ReNew secured three solar contracts totaling 800 MW with NTPC Limited, Damodar Valley Corporation, and Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited, with an average tariff of Rs 2.59 per kWh. Additionally, at a tariff of Rs 4.39 per kWh, ReNew signed around 1 GW firm and dispatchable renewable energy PPA with SJVN Limited. The company also added a 438 MW PPA with a major multinational commercial and industrial customer. Together, these PPAs will encompass the establishment of 1,500 MW of solar and 688 MW of wind projects, with commissioning anticipated within the next 24 months.
