AmpIn Energy Transition has disclosed a long-term investment of EUR 25 million from OeEB, the Development Bank of Austria, to assist AmpIn in advancing its renewable energy portfolio and setting up a domestic solar cell and module production facility with a capacity of 1,000 MW in Odisha. These investments not only align with the government’s objective to increase clean energy capacities and decrease carbon emissions but also aim to promote local manufacturing to improve control over the supply chain for critical components essential for transition endeavors.
In January 2024, AmpIn Energy Transition signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited for setting up a 6 MW solar project for its Nagpur Metro Rail project.
In November 2023, AmpIn Energy Transition announced an investment of Rs 31 billion in India’s eastern region (particularly Bihar, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and other north-eastern states).
In October 2023, AmpIn Energy Transition formed a joint venture with Jupiter International Limited for solar manufacturing business in India.
