NLC India signs deal with Rajasthan government worth more than Rs 70 billion

NLC India Limited has signed a MoU with Rajasthan government for formation of joint venture to set up 125 MW lignite based power plant and 1,000 MW solar power plant. The MoU between NLC India and Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited entails an investment of more than Rs 70 billion. Additionally, a letter of intent for the setup of 810 MW solar power plant has already been issued.

Recently, in March 2024, NLC India Green Energy Limited inked a power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited for a 600 MW solar project at Khavda solar park, Bhuj district, Gujarat.

In February 2024, NLC India Limited issued a tender to supply solar modules of capacity 393.9 MW, for Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited’s solar park in Khavda, Gujarat.

In January 2024, NLCIL issued a tender to commission 100 MW inter-state transmission system connected solar projects in India.

In October 2023, NLCIL established a wholly-owned subsidiary, NLC India Green Energy Limited.
