On the sidelines of World Economic Forum annual summit at Davos, Switzerland, AM Green and Envision Energy have entered into an MOU for the production of wind turbines to be utilised in AM Green’s initiatives in India and collaboration on projects related to green hydrogen. AM Green and Envision plan to leverage their respective strengths to produce, deliver, and maintain wind turbines tailored to the specific needs of AM Green’s projects in India. AM Green, facilitated by its clients, aims to secure a commitment for the procurement of a minimum of 2 GW of capacity annually for the next three years.
The collaboration is a component of AM Green’s broader initiatives to enhance the establishment of a reliable supply chain for affordable and high-quality wind turbines in India. In addition to wind turbine production, AM Green seeks to attain economically optimal round-the-clock power supply, ensuring the efficient operation of its green molecule plants throughout India. Under the MoU, AM Green and Envision will also collaborate in the creation of green hydrogen projects and the establishment of industrial parks with net-zero emissions. Moreover, they will leverage their technical knowledge to mutually formulate a set of relevant standards for the green hydrogen industry.
In October 2023, Envision Energy secured a contract from JSW Energy to set up a wind energy park of 653.4 MW capacity in Karnataka and Maharashtra.
In June 2023, Envision Energy signed a 350 MW wind energy contract with Serentica Renewables. The project would be established in Maharashtra and is anticipated to be operational by December 2024.
