Cummins India will procure clean energy from Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions’ (CleanMax) solar–wind hybrid projects in Maharashtra. The power will be procured under the group captive model. To this end, Cummins India will invest approximately Rs 0.02 billion in Clean Max Yellowstone. The investment will give it a minimum stake of 8.78 per cent in the company, which can be acquired in one or more stages.
Furthermore, the investment will be undertaken alongside two other Cummins group entities in India. Collectively, the three companies will hold a minimum of 26 per cent equity in the project company, in compliance with group captive power plant regulations. Cummins India and CleanMax have also inked a share purchase agreement for the transaction.
Earlier in July 2025, CleanMax and Toyota Tsusho India Private Limited entered a long-term partnership to jointly cater to the clean energy needs of Japanese corporations operating in India.
