Premier Energies has bagged order from NTPC Limited for the supply of 608 MW of bifacial solar photovoltaic (PV) modules. According to the agreement, the company will provide PV modules that adhere to domestic content requirements and will be used at the Nokh solar PV project of NTPC in Rajasthan. The NTPC contract is estimated to be worth approximately Rs 17 billion, and the delivery of the modules is anticipated to be finalised within a nine-month timeframe.
Recently, in January 2023, NTPC Limited on behalf of NTPC-SAIL Power Company issued tender to set up a 15 MW floating solar project at Maroda reservoir-1 of NSPCL in Bhilai, Chattisgarh.
In the same month, results were announced for NTPC Limited’s auction to develop 1,500 MW of inter-state transmission system connected solar power projects, tranche I. The tender for the project was issued in October 2023. The projects will be located anywhere in India. By quoting Rs 2.65 per kWh, Apraava Energy, Avaada Energy, and ReNew have won 300 MW, 500 MW and 400 MW, respectively. While Anboto Solar (Solarpack) has won 300 MW by quoting Rs 2.6 per kWh.
