NTPC Limited on behalf of NTPC-SAIL Power Company (NSPCL), has issued a request for proposals to set up a 15 MW floating solar project. The project will be located at Maroda reservoir-1 of NSPCL in Bhilai, Chattisgarh.
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work under the project includes the thorough design of a solar power project that integrates with the grid, including civil, electrical, and mechanical auxiliary systems. This involves producing detailed plans for foundations, single-line diagrams, installation drawings, electrical layouts, design calculations, and other pertinent documents necessary for engineering all facilities. The scope also involves the establishment of a floating solar project, inclusive of the power evacuation system, encompassing the provision and installation of modules within the specified area. The project also encompasses a three-year operations and maintenance duration for the solar project, along with an annual maintenance agreement for essential equipment. NSPCL intends to finance the package using a blend of equity funds and loans. The bid submission deadline is February 2, 2024.
Only class I and class II local suppliers are allowed to take part in this tender. To be eligible, bidders must have experience in design, supply, and monitoring the erection and commissioning of cumulative installed 12 MW or above solar projects. One of these projects must possess a capacity of 10 MW or more and should have been in operation for a minimum of six months before the date of the opening of the techno-commercial bid. The project must have a valuation of Rs 930 million or higher for a single project or task, and it should be operational for a minimum of one year before the date of the techno-commercial bid opening. Moreover, bidders must have successfully executed a minimum of one electrical substation with a voltage level of 33 kV or higher, incorporating components such as circuit breakers and power transformers of voltage level 33 kV or above. The substation should have been operational for at least one year before the bid opening date.
