Rays Power Infra and Uttarakhand government sign MoU for 500 MW solar park

Rays Power Infra Limited has signed a MoU with Uttarakhand government to establish a 500 MW solar park in the state. The 500 MW solar park is poised to meet a substantial share of the state’s energy needs, serving as both a driver for economic development and a contributor to environmental conservation.

Rays Power Infra currently operates a solar portfolio totaling 1.3 GWp. The company has commenced the development and implementation of solar parks and plants, with a combined capacity of 2 GWp expected to be commissioned within the next 24 months. Additionally, the company is actively engaged in the establishment of sizable solar parks in Rajasthan, earmarked for utility-scale and commercial and industrial projects. Beyond India, the company has successfully installed large-scale solar projects in Vietnam and Bangladesh, with plans to extend its footprint across Asia, as well as the Middle East and North Africa regions.

In January 2023, Rays Power Infra signed a MoU with the Rajasthan government to build a photovoltaic power station. In August 2022, Rays Power Infra announced the opening of a 150 MW grid-connected solar project in Raichur and Koppal, Karnataka.
