AmpIn Energy collaborates with Jupiter International for developing up to 1.3 GW solar cell and module manufacturing facility

AmpIn Energy Transition has formed a joint venture with Jupiter International Limited for the solar manufacturing business in India. As part of this joint venture, a manufacturing facility will be established with the objective of producing up to 1,300 MW of solar cells and modules, in alignment with the Indian government’s Production Linked Incentive, tranche-II initiative. Furthermore, the partnership intends to make use of Jupiter’s extensive experience and AmpIn’s commitment to delivering the most affordable renewable energy to its clientele. As per the agreement, AmpIn will use the modules for its local operations, and simultaneously, they will be provided to third-party developers, facilitating the expansion of both the domestic and export segments within India’s renewable energy sector.

In September 2023, Sunpure Technology Company Limited inked an agreement with AmpIn Energy Transition to supply its waterless robotic cleaning systems for 300 MW capacity.

In the same month, West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission provided approval to the Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation to purchase power from 150 MW wind-solar hybrid projects from Amp Energy Green Seventeen at the rate of Rs 2.92 per kWh in Nandyala, Andhra Pradesh.
