Cairo plans to invest $4 billion to manufacture green hydrogen

The Egyptian government has pledged a $4 billion investment in the generation of green hydrogen. The initiative, which is still at the planning stages, is being carried out in collaboration with the German conglomerate Siemens. A few years ago, Egypt embarked on the goal of producing 20 per cent of its power from renewable sources by 2022 and 42 per cent by 2035.
