IIFL Home Finance launches sixth phase of green affordable housing

With focus on developing affordable housing and the financial tools to support it, green affordable housing is taking centre stage. IIFL Home Finance recently entered the sixth phase of its ‘Kutumb’ initiative that focuses on promoting green affordable housing. If a substantial amount of rooftop space is charted out for setting up solar systems on the affordable housing structures, it can help meet the energy requirements of the residents in a sustainable and cost-effective way.

Green Affordable Housing has Asian Development Bank, German Agency for International Cooperation, Climate Bond Initiative, International Finance Corporation, Green Building Council of India and UK sovereign fund CDC as its partners. Considering government’s focus on affordable housing, IIFL Home Finance through Kutumb aims to extend the mission of ‘Housing for All’ to ‘Green Housing for All’. IIFL has successfully completed five chapters of Kutumb across Ahmedabad, Indore, Pune, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
